Siena and Surroundings

An authentic journey through time and the beauty of Tuscany. Driving towards the city of Siena, an Unesco World Heritage Site, and a pearl of art, culture, and unique flavors, it’s only an hour and a half from the Marina di Scarlino to the Piazza del Campo.

Our first stop includes the magnificent fresco of the Good and Bad Government by Ambrogio Lorenzetti in 1337 at the City Hall. Or do you prefer the Majesty of Duccio, in the Cathedral Museum of the Duomo?

If you are lucky to visit Siena on July 2 or August 16, you will experience the famous Palio di Siena. Fall in love with one of the richest and most beautiful lands of Italy: the south of Siena awaits you with its Renaissance wonders of Pienza and its fabulous wines, the Super Tuscans of Montalcino and Montepulciano. Towards the north, there’s the breathtaking beauty of the Monteriggioni castle, built by the Sienese in the early thirteenth century, the Colle Val d’Elsa, an ancient town on Via Francigena, and San Gimignano, the Manhattan of the Middle Ages with amazing towers that touch the medieval sky.
