It all started during a warehouse reorganization when old wine bottle racks and unused cups, destined to be discarded, were rediscovered. Instead of throwing them away, our Sustainability Champions, led by the invaluable contribution of Maria —a brilliant colleague from Caffè dell’Oro— decided to give these items a new life. Thus, these forgotten objects became the centerpieces of a project intertwining environmental sustainability with team connections.
The initiative engaged every team member, allowing each to choose a cup to personalize with their name and aligned with their favorite beverage. Once decorated, the cups were baked to fix the colors, and today, each person owns a unique, reusable, and personalized mug. This small but meaningful gesture not only drastically reduced single-use paper and plastic waste but also strengthened the team’s sense of belonging, fostering a culture of sharing and sustainability inspired by even the smallest actions.
We are particularly proud of this initiative, which demonstrates how a touch of creativity and common sense can turn overlooked objects into valuable resources that benefit both the environment and the people around us.
We believe that sharing projects like this can inspire others, providing encouragement to find innovative ways to reduce environmental impact in the workplace while cultivating a genuine sense of community.
